Leila Akhvlediani received the degree of Candidate of Biological Sciences in Allergology and Immunology. Between 1997 and 2000 she took theoretical and practical courses in immunology and immunohematology at the Caucasus Regional Immunology Training Centre (CRITC) and London University College (UCL) through Tbilisi, Ivane Javakhishvili State University. Sine 1999 she has worked in the field of immunology and laboratory medicine. Her successful scientific-practical experience in immunology, immunohematology and microbiology are demonstrated by her significant number of grants received, international conferences attended and publications.
Leila Akhvlediani has 17 years of teaching experience at Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University, where she is an Associate Professor of Biology and lectures on immunology and microbiology.
She has also read courses in immunology in Greece (Thesaloniki) and on the medical faculty of Lithuania State University.
Since 2014, Leila Akhvlediani has been the Dean of Faculty of Medicine at BAU International University, Batumi.
