On February 27, 2020 BAU International University Batumi organized a Symposium “Be aware and Stop sexually transmitted diseases" at Biltmore Hotel, Tbilisi. The Symposium was attended by hundreds of high school and university students from Tbilisi.

The aim of the event was to raise the awareness among students and adults about sexually transmitted diseases and prevention of the infectious diseases from spreading.

The event was led by invited Georgian and Turkish doctors from different medical and educational institutions such as: Bahcesehir University, Center for information and counselling in reproductive health " Tanadgoma" and clinic "Neolab".

The president of BAU Global, the chairman of Board of Trustees Mr. Enver Yucel and Fatma Ceren Yazgan, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Turkey to Georgia attended the Symposium.

BAU International University Batumi will organize similar events throughout Georgia in the future as well.
