On November 15–16, BAU International University Batumi successfully conducted a training for academic and invited staff of the Medicine program on the topic: “Teaching–Learning, Assessment, and Professionalism in Medical Education.”
The training program was developed based on the National Sectoral Characteristics of Medicine and international standards (WFME, AMEE), aiming to strengthen competencies in teaching, assessment, and professionalism. On the first day, the training covered the core principles of outcomes-based medical education, the importance of correctly formulating learning objectives and outcomes, as well as practical evidence-based assessment methods such as Mini-CEX, DOPS, WPBA, and the use of portfolios.
The second day focused on teaching and assessing professionalism, ethical dilemmas, and the role of the hidden curriculum in medical education. BAU Batumi will continue to support the professional development of its academic staff to ensure that teaching practices align with modern international standards. The university extends its gratitude to all participants for their active involvement.
