BAU International University Batumi, in partnership with Tbilisi State Medical University, will host the International Scientific and Practical Conference, “Challenges of Radiation Safety and Protection in Medicine in Georgia,” on June 26–27, 2026.

The conference will bring together local and international specialists, researchers, academic staff, and students working in the fields of medical physics, radiation safety, diagnostic radiology, radiotherapy, and nuclear medicine. The event will serve as an important professional and academic platform for discussing current issues related to radiation safety in modern medicine, the role of medical physicists, innovative technologies, and the advancement of education and research in the field.

The conference program will feature the latest approaches and international experience in ensuring the safety of patients and healthcare professionals, optimizing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, and exploring the application of artificial intelligence in medicine. The conference is supported by the Tbilisi City Hall, the Beritashvili Center of Experimental Biomedicine, the Association of Medical Physics and Radiation Protection, and the Ivane Tarkhnishvili Student Scientific Society.
