Scientific Blog Competition for Young Healthcare Professionals

The competition aims to share evidence on the latest achievements, scientific discoveries, innovations, and their relevance to Georgia in the fields of public health, health policy, and healthcare management, fostering discussions within the social media space.

Blogs submitted to the competition will be evaluated by the project jury based on the following requirements:

Requirements for the Scientific Blog:

  • Must align with the competition's theme;
  • Must not have been previously published;
  • Should include references and be based on reliable sources;
  • Should consist of 1,000–2,000 words;
  • Must be written in Georgian.

Evaluation Criteria:

  • Relevance and significance for Georgia;
  • Modernity and/or innovativeness;
  • Originality and creativity;
  • Authenticity, clarity, and quality of writing;
  • Use of evidence and sources;
  • Potential to initiate discussions;
  • Visualization of information.

Prize Fund: 8,000 GEL. The jury will award cash prizes to the best authors of various levels.
Special Prize: For the author of the most liked blog by readers.

Submission Deadline: February 24, 2025
Winner Announcement: March 5, 2025

How to Participate in the Competition:

  1. Join the HealthBridge Hub on LinkedIn.
  2. Submit the following to the email provided:
    • Your prepared blog in a Word document;
    • An original biography/self-presentation and a personal statement explaining your interest in the competition and the topic (a short video is also acceptable).

The competition is organized by Ilia State University and Batumi International University (BAU).

The project is implemented within the framework of the "Education for Better Employment: Partnership in Innovative Healthcare" project funded by the World Bank and the Competitive Innovation Fund (CIF). The goal of the competition is to encourage scientific activity among healthcare professionals and to bridge the gap between students/graduates and employers by sharing professional experiences, ultimately promoting employment and collaboration in the healthcare sector.
