Admission Procedure for International Applicants

Admission Process for International Students 

Foreign citizens must complete the application electronically through our online portal:  https://bauglobal.my.salesforce-sites.com/applybat 

To pass registration, you need to fill in personal details and upload the following documents: 

For First-Year Students

  1. High school graduation diploma - GCE A level; 
  2. Academic transcript (school grades); 
  3. Passport copy; 
  4. Internationally recognized English language certificate (minimum required level - B2); 
  5. National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) (for Indian citizens only). 

For Transfer Students

  1. Academic transcript from the previous university; 
  2. Passport copy; 
  3. Internationally recognized English language certificate (minimum required level - B2)* (for non-English programs only). 
  1. Applicants who are still awaiting the issuance of final educational documents may submit predicted grades. This documentation will allow us to review your application and make a conditional enrollment decision. Please note that submitting final, official documents to the university is mandatory upon their receipt. After successfully filling out the online application, the application will be reviewed and you will receive a conditional acceptance letter within 2 days. 
  2. Within 5 days of receiving the letter, the applicant must pay the application fee - 500 USD (this amount is non-refundable). Upon credit reflection, the university begins the official process of foreign education recognition and enrollment with the Ministry of Education of Georgia, which may take up to 3 weeks. Upon receiving approval from the Ministry, the university issues a final acceptance letter, which is used to obtain a study visa (if necessary). 
  3. After enrollment at BAU International University (Batumi), all students are required to undergo financial and academic registration at the Student Support and Career Development Department. Registration deadlines are regulated by the university's academic calendar. 

Attention for Persons Educated Abroad 

Georgian citizens who received full general education abroad are enrolled at BAU Batumi International University in accordance with the admission procedure established for international applicants. 

Foreign Language Competence 

Since all of our programs are taught entirely in English, we require proof of your language proficiency. Please see the list of international English language competence exams and corresponding scores recognized by our university: 
TOEFL (iBT 79); 
IELTS 6.5 (Acad.); 
FCE B; 
YDS 80; 
Pearson PTE Acad. 78; 
CAE A; 
If you completed high school in an English-speaking country, you do not need proof of English proficiency. 
BAU International University offers applicants the option to take the "BAU Proficiency" English exam if they have the required English proficiency but do not hold an international language certificate. The minimum passing score for the BAU Proficiency exam is 60. Information regarding exam dates can be obtained at the Student Support and Career Development Department.
