International Conference ECCES 2026

Professor Natalia Dorofeeva, Head of the Medicine Programme at the School of Medicine and Health Sciences at BAU International University Batumi, together with academic staff members Professor Alexandra Mikhailidi and Assistant Tsira Kapanadze, are participating as speakers at the international conference ECCES 2026 — “Advancing Medical Education: Internationalisation, Innovation and Academic Excellence.”

ECCES 2026 brings together higher education professionals, academic leaders and international experts, including representatives of respected organisations such as the World Federation for Medical Education (WFME), the International Association for Health Professions Education (AMEE), the Association of Medical Schools in Europe (AMSE) and the European Association for International Education (EAIE). Students from the Medicine Programme are also attending the conference, gaining valuable opportunities to explore current trends in medical education, learn from international academic experience and discover new perspectives for professional development.

For BAU International University Batumi, participation in international academic events is an important part of its internationalisation strategy. The involvement of academic staff and students supports the exchange of knowledge and experience, strengthens international cooperation and contributes to the university’s active engagement in the ongoing development of medical education.
